R. Christopher Barden, Ph.D., J.D., LP is both a licensed psychologist and a licensed attorney, having received two national research awards in psychology and a law degree with honors from Harvard Law School. Dr. Barden has participated as an attorney or consultant in many successful lawsuits against "recovered memory" therapists, including the Burgus, Carlson, Hamanne, Fultz, Tinker, Cool, Downing, Avis, Bellis, Fredrickson and other cases. Dr. Barden also serves as the President of the National Association for Consumer Protection in Mental Health Practices.
